Being active members in the community matters to Best Builders and we participate in many different ways to contribute to the industry and charitable organizations.
To see what Best Builders is up to these days check out our Community Events Calendar
Habitat for Humanity
“One man’s garbage is another man’s gold”….when removing materials from construction sites it is easy to throw away all the materials, but with a little more care and effort used building materials can be donated to the Habitat for Humanity ‘ReStore’ that sell items such as cabinetry, windows, plumbing fixtures, counter tops, flooring, etc. All of the money raised through the store goes directly to the operations of Habitat for Humanity and building more homes for people in need.
Coats for Kids
Best Builders is a drop-off point for coats each year for the Coats or Kids drive organized by the Greater Vancouver Home Builders Association. The campaign runs from early November to mid December every winter.
It is never too early to start on your training. Students now have the opportunity to start the path to their apprenticeship in high school with internship placements. Best Builders has worked with various High Schools offering this program, which is a great way to see if a career in carpentry is your niche. We also offer the complete Red Seal Carpentry apprenticeship program for peoples of all ages. Best Builders believe in constant training and education to stay on the cutting edge of the industry.
All of our apprentices have the opportunity to work on unique custom projects of all shapes and sizes with highly skilled Site Supervisor’s guiding them through troubleshooting and new tasks.
