“Warming Hearts Since 1995″
The Greater Vancouver Home Builders Association (GVHBA) is launching its 21st annual Coats for Kids campaign in support of the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau and Surrey Christmas Bureau, two groups whose many initiatives help to provide a brighter Christmas for families in need.
The Coats for Kids donation campaign will run from Monday, November 14 to Thursday, December 1, with GVHBA member companies providing drop off locations for new and gently used coats, scarves, gloves, blankets and new unwrapped toys and gifts for children of all ages. Last year the response to Coats for Kids was heartwarming as Lower Mainland residents donated more than 3,600 items, collected at 95 locations, offered by 54 GVHBA member companies.
Speaking with the Christmas Bureaus, the greatest need is coats and jackets for tweens and teens – ages 12 to 18 years old. Remember, even though some teens fit adult sizing, the coats need to appeal their age group (hoodies are always a popular). Buying new items for donations is also an option, along with donating scarves, hats, gloves, and new unwrapped toys (hockey sticks, soccer and basketballs, and art supplies are always a hit).
Best Builders is proud to be a participating as a drop-off location.
Visit our head office at Suite 103, 5461 12th Ave in Delta, BC, Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm to drop off donations.
